Hallo,

ich hatte mal als Jugendlicher den Dreiteiler (Taschenbuch) angelesen und schnell wieder verworfen.
Dann kam HDR ins Kino, und ich habe die Übersetzung von Krege incl. Anhang bis zum Ende gelesen, und war zu Tränen gerührt. 
Aber ich habe das Buch wieder verkauft.
Viele Jahre darauf habe ich mir die Triologie intensiv also mehrfach angeschaut.
Ich kaufte mir nochmal das Buch in rotem Rauleder mit der alten Übersetzung, und es war wie eine Offenbarung. 
Ich finde es nicht schöner, als so ein Werk bei gemütlichem Kerzenlicht zu lesen.
Aber vortrefflicher kann solche Belletristik kaum auf einen Menschen einwirken
