Hallo Forum!

Ich möchte mir eine Tolkien Biographie kaufen und habe mich auch schon für eine entschieden. Es soll das Englische Buch „J. R. R. Tolkien - A Biography" von Humphrey Carpenter werden. Nun habe ich gesehen, dass es bei Amazon drei(!) Versionen des Buchs gibt und alle haben stark unterschiedliche Seitenzahlen.

Kann mir jemand sagen, worin die Unterschiede liegen?

    Die Unterschiede schreibst Du doch teilweise schon selbst: Unterschiedlicher Verlag, unterschiedliches Erscheinungsjahr, usw. Dann halt noch unterschiedliches Cover, unterschiedlicher Preis und unterschiedliche Seitenzahl.

    Inhaltlich sollten das die gleichen Bücher sein. Die unterschiedliche Seitenzahl wird wohl eher durch anderes Seitenlayout bedingt sein. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass da mehr oder weniger Inhalt drin ist *gg*
